Litepay debit card failed to launch (for now)

LitePay Inc. created Litepay, a Litecoin wallet app linked to a VISA debit card. This card can be used to make purchases at all shops accepting VISA, by spending money directly from your Litecoin balance, as the Litecoin-to-FIAT conversion is done on-the-fly at the moment of the purchase without the need of loading the card manually by converting between the currencies.

The Litepay debit card was supposed to be launched on February 26, 2018, but VISA has not accepted Litepay as a merchant yet, so the launch has been postponed indefinitely. Since the banks and traditional circuits are famous for not looking favorably at cryptocurrencies, there is even uncertainity about them to let Litepay to be released at all.

So one of our users had the idea of creating a bet on the Litecoin Litepay launch date: if the card will be launched before the 1st of June, the outcome of the bet event is YES, if it will not launch before that date or the mainstream media will report the launch to never happen, the event resolves to a NO.

If you want to play, go to the bet event page linked above, enter your wallet address to be able to receive the winnings back, then pick your choice: YES or NO. Finnaly, send the coins you want to risk to the address provided on page. Of course, all bets are anonymous and no ID is ever required. Happy betting!
